National Volunteer Week is an annual celebration held throughout Australia during May to promote and show appreciation for all volunteers and their efforts. In 2018 the National Volunteer Week theme was – Give a Little, Change a Lot!
At DRWS our volunteers contribute over 45 000 hours each year towards wildlife care, rehabilitation and promoting the value of biodiversity. There are so many benefits to volunteering for the huge number of causes who exist only because of the commitment of their volunteers and for those who do the volunteering.
Thank you to Volunteering WA and Lotterywest for granting us the funds to celebrate and acknowledge our volunteer efforts with a token pen gift and cosy get-together at Naked Apple Cider.
