Hillside Farm - just a bare paddock at the moment

The Darling Range Wildlife Shelter moved from land it had occupied for nine years adjacent to Cohunu Koala Park to its current location at Hillside Farm. The site at Hillside Farm was just a bare paddock, and required provision of considerable infrastructure including all the basics of power, water, telephone and fencing.

Site development has slowly taken shape, with fencing and basic services having been installed, along with construction of kangaroo shelters and feeding stations, feed shed and utilities cabin as well as some planting. We are now working on further development of the kangaroo areas as well as new facilities for waterbirds and other birds. The support of the public has been fantastic, and we contine to seek support at this critical time of transition and development.
